Prabal Gurung S/S 12 Part I

This collection reminds me a lot of Alexander McQueen's "Plato's Atlantis" particularly the prints and belts. It also has a Tisci for Givenchy feel, especially in some of the later pieces and the construction of the jackets...not to mention the dress that Frida is wearing is pretty much a copy of his Couture collection. This is pretty much his depiction of the McQueen and Tisci's love child with some tiny hint of Stella McCartney, she seems to be that hidden recessive gene. That is not to say I don't like the collection, the clothing is beautiful and the details are incredible, it's just been done; but then again what fashion hasn't been recycled?  (with the exception of Alexander McQueen he was an original)
